Bucket List Beginnings

People make Bucket Lists for many reasons. For me, I am bored. I have got myself stuck in a rut; work, eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep. I am fast approaching the big 5-0 and Í figure there must be a huge list of things I want to do or places I want to go.

When I was trying to come up with things to put on my list I did a bit of Googling. There are quite a few sites and blogs dedicated to Bucket Lists so there is plenty of inspiration out there. I scrolled through thousands of ideas and surprised myself with how many of these ambitions I had already done. I also surprised myself with how many I didn't want to do.

I have decided that the list has to be achievable. There is no point listing "winning the lottery" as this is totally out of my control. Likewise, aims that are likely to always be out of reach financially were immediately dismissed.

I wanted to make sure there were some items on my list that were easy to achieve so I could begin crossing things off. I am hoping progress will inspire me to keep going. Some will take longer as they will require funds I don't have yet, but others are free or low cost enough for me get started.

My list isn't final. I expect it will grow as I come across new ideas, or perhaps one item will inspire another. I am not putting a deadline on my list like some people do. I want my list to become a way of life to combat the monotony.
